About

Broadcasting discovered Mark at Bowling Green State University in 1976. He was co-creator of the comedy show The Insomniac Hour, DJ, spot writer, and play-by-play voice for hockey and baseball on WBGU-FM. Upon graduation, he was the sign-on newscaster at WUAB-TV, and Assistant Director for Indians telecasts (look for him on the video trying to get Bruce Drennan to Len Barker after the perfect game in 1981!). In the advertising field, Mark won local, regional, national, and international awards as a writer, producer, and Creative Director. From 1993-2015, he served the Lord at Cleveland’s WCRF-FM where he created The Children’s Radio Funhouse, the award-winning syndicated show Toonz! – Music for His Kids, The VBS Express, and hosted morning drive for 15 years. Mark forged relationships with ministries that resulted in listeners seeing the need to have impact locally and globally for the sake of the Gospel.

As a Bible study and small group leader for over 25 years, Mark’s favorite passage to teach is The Sermon on The Mount. (“It’s not that it’s difficult… it’s impossible.”)

Mark was born in Cleveland, raised in Geauga County, and lives in Lake County with his wife Wendy. They have 3 grown daughters. After work, look for Mark on the Buckeye Trail or the Towpath at Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
