Leading The Way

You often see Dr. Michael Youssef on television sharing the Gospel through one-minute spots or teaching the Bible on his program, Leading The Way.  You can also hear Dr. Youssef teaching God’s Word on Leading The Way weekday afternoons at 1:30 on Heartfelt Radio!

God had a plan for Michael Youssef even before his birth in September of 1948.  Doctors recommended that Michael’s mother terminate her at-risk pregnancy with him.  But his parents decided not to heed the doctors’ advice.  His mother gave birth and lived to see Michael dedicate his life to serving the Lord as a teenager.

Dr. Youssef is a native of Egypt.  He lived in Lebanon and Australia before becoming a United States citizen.  In Australia, he earned a degree from Moore College in Sydney.  He went on to study at Fuller Theological Seminary in California and earned his Ph.D. in anthropology from Emory University

In 1987, he founded The Church of The Apostles in Atlanta with only a few dozen people with him at the start.  Today, the church has over 3,000 people attending and is responsible for Leading The Way’s international outreach.  His messages are now heard in 27 languages worldwide.  Additionally, he has written over 50 books.

Michael and his wife Elizabeth have four children and 11 grandchildren.

When contacting Leading The Way, be sure to mention you hear the program on WKJA.
