Heartfelt Radio’s Financial Goal For 2022
At Heartfelt Radio, we’ve seen God’s hand of blessing over the past two years the station has been on the air. People have raised their hands to volunteer. New ministry programs are being added. Sponsors are coming alongside to support the station. Our listenership continues to grow as does the financial support we need for the station to be fully funded and self-sustaining. God is prompting people like you to give.
Operating a radio station is an expensive endeavor! We pay many of the same expenses other businesses incur. Then there are unique expenses like tower rentals, music licensing, and broadcaster association fees. The revenue needed to operate WKJA adds up to over $700K annually. That’s a small number compared to some commercial radio stations. Even smaller when put alongside radio networks – commercial or Christian – that have budgets in the millions and millions of dollars. However, it’s a big number when starting at zero, which is where we were in early 2020.
Since then, we’ve seen God working on behalf of Heartfelt Radio to grow support for the station. $68,000 for the year in 2020, $146,000 in 2021.
The revenue is heading in the right direction, but we still have a long way to go for Heartfelt Radio to be fully funded each year.
