Denise was born and raised in Barberton, Ohio, where she graduated in 1982 along with a two-year course in Intensive Office Education. She joins the WKJA team with 27 years’ experience in Office Administration, of which most recently included serving at Christian Healthcare Ministries as a Member Assistance Representative for six years, followed by two years as Member Assistance, Assistant Supervisor.

Although Denise is new to the world of radio, she has a love for people and strong appreciation of Christian music of all types (with Southern Gospel being her long-time favorite).

Denise trusted Christ in 1982. Over the years she has served in church as the Coordinator of the Food Missions Ministry, AWANA Cubbies Leader, and Ladies Group Leader in Reformers Unanimous (a faith-based addictions recovery program).

Denise and her husband, Gene, were married in 1984. They have two adult children and three grandsons. As a family they enjoy weekends at the lake camping, boating, swimming, fishing, and bonfires.
